Dr. Barrera's Care Philosophy
“As a pediatric dentist, my philosophy is to provide individualized quality care while creating a positive, fun, and comfortable experience for the patient. I believe that it’s important to provide personalized care for every patient’s needs. I always want to build trust with patients and their families by having open communication in every visit. I am passionate about preventive care and promoting healthy oral habits that will last for a lifetime. ”
Background
Dr. Barrera earned her dental degree in Mexico at the University of Monterrey. She knew her passion was Pediatric Dentistry, and after moving to the United States, she obtained the certificate in Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she was awarded the Dr. Waldemar Brehm Scholarship for the Early Treatment of Malocclusions.
Dr. Barrera has organized and participated in social outreach activities such as dental missions in rural communities in Mexico, where screenings and dental care are provided to populations with limited access to oral health services.
Outside of the office, she enjoys long-distance running, reading, and gardening. Always looking for a new festival or farmer’s market to visit on the weekend.
