Dr. Petrik's Care Philosophy
“As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Erin Petrik strives to make each visit to the dental office comfortable and enjoyable for kids and their parents. She understands each child is unique and tailors each visit to connect with her patients. Dr. Erin loves pediatric dentistry because it is a combination of science, art, and creativity. Working with children brings surprises and challenges every day, and Dr. Erin loves that it’s her job to problem-solve and create the best solution for each patient and family.
Dr. Erin is proud to provide all forms of pediatric dentistry, from non-invasive techniques to sedation dentistry. Dr. Erin has a passion for hospital dentistry and has operating room privileges at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Additionally, she regularly spends time working with the Cleft Team at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.”
Background
Dr. Erin is a lifelong Midwesterner. She was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but calls Chicago her “second home.” Dr. Erin earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Dr. Erin earned her DDS in Chicago at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. She completed two additional years of training in pediatric dentistry at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
Dr. Erin understands how important it is to continue learning and keep current with modern dentistry. She is a member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Erin likes to stay active by running or biking by the lakeshore.
